The Claret Wine Bar closed on 31 October 2025. The notice in the window said that they are planning a significant refurbishment followed by a reopening at some point in the future. The pub is in Cheam's main street, handy for the shops and public transport. It has a regular friendly clientele. The decor is mainly light wood and the compact interior houses tables of different sizes. The regular cask ale may be supplemented by another at busy times.
