A single storey cottage style building, close to the castle and church. Holds the Cask Marque Award for serving great quality real ale.

Historic Interest

Originally only licensed as a beerhouse, the Castle got a full licence on February 1st 1957. Note: Some census entries refer to Castle Brewery, as indicated. Castle brewery closed 1903 Photographs of this pub and more historical information about it can be found at suffolk.camra.org.uk/pub/310
