This Pub is Closed Long Term

Recently refurbished this pub is a single open-plan layout with a separate pool and darts area, and unobtrusive sports TV. While this is indeed a locals pub, the landlord, John Burroughs, a former Lord Mayor, is very keen to promote Real Ale with the emphasis on local brewers.

No food is served and also no dogs or children are allowed. The name changed from the Apollo Tavern in August 2014, and the pub now stocks more real ales and a range of quality keg beers as well as real ciders. An off-licence / bottle shop was added in 2016. Pub closing soon, no longer serves Real Ale/ Cider handpumps removed
