A large multi-roomed pub situated on Northenden Road, Sale. The bus stop is conveniently right outside the door of the pub.
The layout is multi roomed with a vault off to the left, dartboard, TV and pictures of snooker and football stars (Manchester United) adorning the walls. To the right is another small room with a TV screen. Moving on to the smaller of the two main bars where the Banks's bitter is dispensed - this is often only real ale on offer with no less than three handpumps but occasionally there is a guest from another of Marston's breweries
Facing the bar is a small open seating area with pictures of the surrounding area in days gone by, perhaps some of the senior clientele can remember the old days, the pub itself may be in the region of 60 odd years old. Through some double glass doors to the main lounge, this is the main activity centre, a pool table sits here but is moved for big TV sports events and various entertainments, the room can be hired for private parties etc. There are pool and darts teams. They have several events on during the week including Bingo and Karaoke and occasionally also have live music.
There is a large car park to the rear as well as an outside drinking smoking area.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer (occasional guest beers, usualy from Marston's or Ringwood) and 0 regular beers.
