Historic inn on the banks of the River Mersey. It’s been a meeting place for many centuries and it’s recorded that the local Jacobean Club used to meet here in the 1730's and drink to the King’s health over a bowl of punch. The core of the current building dates from the end of the 18th Century. Under new management since October 2016.
There is a large beer garden with children’s play area for the Summer and a traditional cosy interior with a real fire for the Winter. Traditional pub food is served from 12-8pm all day. Dogs are also welcome with water and dog treats available from the bar.
