The information here is for the pub DEMOLISHED without permission in 2015. Westminster Council issued an Enforcement Notice to rebuild using matching materials in and out and in Feb 2016 classified the pub as an ACV.

Pre-demolition description follows:-

The pub was originally built in 1920-21 for the Charrington brewery, probably to a design by architect Frank J Potter.

In July 2006 this pub was added to the CAMRA London Regional Inventory of outstanding pub interiors. And its exterior is quite splendid to, a marvelous former Charrington's facade with tiling and sign-work intact. Handpumps are in the longer side bar and at the time of this visit were serving Hardys & Hansons (Greene King) Olde Trip and LBW. Pool and darts. Not far off the main road where many buses can be found.

Registered as an Asset of Community Value with Westminster Council, expiring 2 Feb 2021.
