This is a restaurant, where drinking alcohol, including draught and bottled beer, is only allowed when food is being consumed.
Opened in 2008 in the premises of a former wine bar, this is primarily a (very good) restaurant but, when not too busy, it also welcomes folk who just want a beer - served straight from the cask. At lunchtimes and on light evenings, the ground floor is the place to be with its huge windows offering terrific views of Kings College Chapel and the tourists gathered round the Corpus Christi Clock. The atmospheric cellar area is just for dining and has tiled floors and vaulted ceilings. Food is "traditional British" with lots of steak and chops options but a wide range of other dishes - sausages and pies also feature strongly. Four tables on the Kings Parade pavement are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
This Restaurant serves 1 changing beer and 0 regular beers.
