The Butterfly Inn opened in 1978 and operated as a cafe bar/pub in the retail park associated to Sterling Furniture. It is unclear when it closed down. It seems to still be vacant since about 2017. The cafe/bar was formerly the staff canteen for Sterling Furniture and previously Devonvale. The name comes from the layout shape of houses built nearby in Moss Road which resemble a butterfly.
