The oldest secular building in town, with parts dating back to the late 13th century.
The bar area is spacious and brightly lit with modern decor a little at odds with the age of the building. Most of the seating is around the edge of the room as it has been decided to plonk a large pool table in the centre of the floor. A large, slightly obtrusive TV shows sport. There is a separate restaurant and a pleasant garden to the side. Parking is available in the public car park opposite.
Under new management as of March 2024. The beer range is restricted to the Marston's range, unfortunately, the brewery won't allow beers from local breweries to be served.
May close earlier if quiet.
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
