This Pub is Closed Long Term
The Brockweir Inn closed in March 2019 following an enforcement notice issued by the Environment Agency and Forest of Dean District Council. The structure of the building required substantial remedial work to make it fit for purpose. The new owners have pledged that the Brockweir Inn will re-open when the necessary repairs have been completed. In previous years the Brockweir Inn was a thriving pub, renowned for its food and quality of its real ales - gaining many entries into the Good Beer Guide. It is hoped that the fortunes of this classic old pub, pleasantly situated by the River Wye, will once again flourish. As part of the exterior renovation the 'West Country Ales - Best in the West' ceramic plaque has been removed. It had been badly chipped and damaged beyond repair.
A community group Brockweir Inn Community Benefit Society registered as a Community Benefit Society purchased the pub on 9 Dec 2024.
