Formerly the tap for the now closed B&T brewery, this remains a welcoming, drinkers’ pub and a regular in the Good Beer Guide. A new bar features six brand new hand pumps serving changing beers, mainly from independent breweries. Breakfast is available on Saturdays. The wood-panelled, open-plan front bar displays breweriana and a cosy log burner, with additional seating to the rear. There is a jukebox, weekly Wednesday quiz, regular live music and charity events, and it hosts local darts, golf, dominoes and cards teams. Outside is a gravel beer garden with ample seating and a covered, heated smoking area. Car park access is via the side archway.
