A genuine free house on the outskirts of Ossett, five minutes walk from the Calder and Hebble Canal. Two regular beers with seven guest ales from a wide range are available Monday to Friday lunchtimes and Tuesday to Thursday evenings. Monday night is quiz night, and there is live music on the first Sunday of the month. Dogs and well-behaved children are welcome until 7pm, There is an August Bank Holiday Beer Festival GBG Entries 1987-1992 relate to the pub when it was Boons End.
