Historic Interest
In April 1978 Handpumps had replaced the previous electric pumps and in November 1979 Walkers Warrington Ale was introduced but did not last long. It was included in the selective Greater Manchester Beer Guide in 1980. In May 1981 it was Tetley Pub selling Mild and Bitter (H). It was included on the Tetley Cask Beer List in August 1983. In August 1985 it was noted as one of the pubs which had started selling Jennings Bitter, but by January 1986 it was noted that it had not sold well here. The 1994 Prices survey visited here on May 19th.
