Originally called The Ropemakers, the Bowling Green is situated away from the city centre close to Exeter City Football Club at St James Park. It opens at 12 noon on home match days.

It has an extensive selection of reasonably priced pub food including pizzas and gluten free vegan and vegetarian options. Up to five real ales are available, three are rotating and supporting local breweries along with changing BiB ciders.
