Superb rural pub refurbished by new licensee and well patronised by locals and tourists. Excellent reputation for good food, the pub has an open fire in the bar. A homely feel about the place when you walk in. Well worth a visit. The pub has excellent patio and there are also 2 cottages as well as 3 B&B rooms. Can obtain Plusbus ticket if travelling by train to Hexham
