Small single-room bar in the town centre overlooking the lovely Montpellier gardens, it is modelled on an Amsterdam café bar and has been going for more than 30 years. Noted for live music seven days a week with three sessions on a Sunday it is popular with music lovers and can get very busy. Upstairs is the ‘Gin Bar’ and 'Yorkshire Tapas' restaurant, a room with seating in large booths where customers can watch the band on a large TV screen while dining or drinking. Food is served at lunchtimes and evenings every day except Monday/Tuesday. Four handpumps dispense beers mostly from local breweries.
