A uniquely named pub, this relates to the local lias clay. Originally a farmhouse, the building became a pub in 1790 just before the adjacent canal opened. Extensive canal-side seating on the terrace at the rear of the pub.
The pub also has a large camp site (no tents). Make a visit during December for the spectacular Christmas decorations. Supposedly haunted!
This Pub serves 1 changing beer and 2 regular beers.
Cask Ale
