Black Cloak Taproom, Colwyn Bay

Brewpub opened in December 2018 by two former employees of the Heavy Industry brewery who started brewing their own beer on site using a 1.5 barrel plant, moving the brewery to larger premises in Denbigh early 2024. Beers are dispensed from cask and keg and utilising four handpulls on the bar with ten keg pumps on the back wall of the bar. Guest beers are offered from quality breweries throughout the UK with bottled beers also available. The taproom is a one roomed pub with comfortable seating and convivial atmosphere. Beer available in 1/3, 1/2, 2/3 or pint measures with a chalk board behind the bar and clipboard on every table showing beers, strengths and prices available. Tables and chairs are provided on the pavement for, weather permitting, an outdoor drinking experience. Occasional meet the brewer and tap take over events are held.
