Traditional stone built pub that retains several original features. Separate dining area. The pub is in the heart of this much loved town that has strong links to the Romans. Well served by good transport links including Hadrian's Wall Tyne Valley Railway. If with a companion ask for a "duo return ticket" - second ticket is only half price. Under new management since June 2022, more focus on Cask beers. Breakfast served 0930-1115 Saturday and Sunday.
