The spacious tap room, serving six ales and also craft beers, is found to the rear of the building, It always has a friendly welcome and a lively pub feel and is adorned with old railway and breweriana that create a comfortable, historical atmosphere.
The brewery was established in 2008 in a Victorian school building and produces a range of six regular cask ales, seasonal ales, craft beers and monthly specials on tap, and a greater number of bottled beers, some for the nearby Severn Valley Railway.
Five of the brewery's cask ales are dispensed through half-pint pulls giving each pint a clearer dispense from the cask, and the full range of bottled beers are also available to take out. Seasonal beers on draft are Sunshine (May-Sep and in bottle), Green Hop (Sep/Oct) and Bah Humbug (Nov-Dec and in bottle and on the bar).
Craft unfiltered Laxford Lager, a Stout and Sabrina session IPA are on tap and promise a delightful taste experience.
Cobs are available on Fridays and Saturdays. Street food starts from Easter Saturday and then fortnightly on Saturdays throughout the summer until October.
The pleasant back yard has a covered area, and plenty of tables and seating.
Cycles can be left in the yard in view from the bar; lock cycles together.
Level access to the bar (small threshold lip) and an adapted WC with ramp access is nearby along the yard.
