Built around 1861 for Benjamin Woolaston, a stone mason, his family would retain its ownership until 1923 when it was sold to Atkinsons brewery. In 1968 the pub was extended by taking in derelict buildings to the right front and left rear to plans by architect L. Cartwright and the internal layout altered.
Currently, The Beehive is a two-roomed community local which has been in the same family since 1972.
The lounge has a range of tables and chairs and comfortable seats, as well as a coal fire making for a cosy ambience.
Customers enjoy lively chat, pub games and TV sports in the bar. The lounge is more regularly used for quiet conversation, although there is a pool table here too, as the pub fields three teams in the Wolverhampton Premier Pool League.
