Large early 20th century roadside corner pub, part of Greene King's Hungry Horse brand. The focus is on food and families, as with others in the chain, but drinkers are welcome.

The open plan pub has many separate areas for dining and drinking. There is a Wacky Corner for children to play. TV screens throughout show live sport. The outdoor beer garden is extensive and includes a children's play area. There is a bowls club behind the pub. EV charging is available.

Originally built and opened by Ansells Brewery on 6 May 1936.
