The Keppoch Bar at the Culloden Moor Inn does not sell real ale (yet) but is included so as to include all the licensed premises in the Highlands & Western Isles Branch Area. The establishment is very close to Clava Cairns, an important Neolithic site and the famous National Trust for Scotland Culloden Moor site which has an award winning visitors center. The battle of Culloden Moor, fought on 16 April 1746, was the last full scale military engagement on British soil and according to records lasted for an hour. The action brutally crushed the Jacobite rising, Bonnie Prince Charlie famously escaping to the Western Isles and then Skye, before permanent exile in France. When compiling this desk top survey the meals are reported to be generous, very well priced and of good quality. Note - opening hours not verified.
