March 2025 - Baroon Lounge opened around 21 December. We reported it to Brent Council Enforcement at that time for blocking up windows on one side (building is locally listed) and illegal conversion to a nightclub. We haven’t had an update so will call them. It’s an Iranian cocktail bar / live music bar. They do breakfast from 8am and lunch deals. Building is covered in scaffolding at moment. Focus is on cocktails rather than beer.
A 12.5% service charge will be added to your bill. Entertainment charges will apply Fridays, Saturdays and specials events except for children under 12 years of age. All children must be accompanied by parents or a responsible adult. Kids eat free is only valid on Sundays for children aged 12 or under. One children's meal free per full paying adult. We do not know the opening hours.
13/11/24 - Closed. Signage removed. Windows blocked out on one side. No planning application. Brent planning enforcement notified.
In 2013 M&B took this pub back into direct management, they have thoroughly repainted interior and exterior while retaining the same essential layout. A Victorian building occupying an imposing corner site that was originally named The Earl Derby.
On opening night the guest beers were Jarrow Rivet Catcher and Leeds Gathering Storm. But one by one the number of cask ales fell to nil. At the time of its opening, we wrote "A welcome addition to the Kilburn cask beer scene, an area that has proved obstinate to the real ale revival." It looks as if that obstinacy remains.
The usual array of craft kegs supporting London brewers such as Meantime and Camden Town.
