This is a hotel, which means that the bar is only open to residents.

Until summer 2017 the hotel had a bar open to the public.

The bar of the UK's northernmost hotel is now only open to restaurant diners and residents of its 25 rooms, though it stocks beers from the Lerwick brewery and spirits from Unst's own distillery, near the Saxa Vord space terminal. The capital of Shetland, Lerwick, is 60 miles and two ferry rides away. At midsummer, an almost perpetual daylight exists, known locally as 'Simmer Dim'. The Keen of Hamar national nature reserve, home to some unique local species of flora, is within walking distance.
