The only pub on Unst and the northernmost in the UK, a triumph of human spirit. Serving the islanders, the occasional tourist, the huge flock of weather-beaten sheep that are the main inhabitants of Unst, and the employees of the local spaceport at Saxa Vord.

The exterior is built to withstand the weather, rather than appeal to the eye. Inside is a deceptively large, one-storey building, pre-fabricated from container boxes and the like.

Given its location, it is a remarkably active local boozer, open 7 nights a week for much of the year, serving bottled beers from the well-above-average Lerwick brewery. When they cannot open for some reason they are good at warning about this on their Facebook, where you should also find when they will be serving food. Hours shown here may be longer in Summer, or shorter at other times.
