Country local pub & restaurant.
Welcoming and comfortable country tavern dating from a 1534 toll house. Now much extended, there are seating areas on two levels where a fine selection of locally sourced food is available. The oldest part of the building is now the Harness Bar; features include low ceilings, oak beams, horse brasses, wooden settles and works of art by local painters.
Locally brewed cask ales are served from 2 handpulls in the lower bar area, while meals are served at lunchtimes and evenings six days a week. Best to book ahead by phone. The tavern is closed Wednesdays, apart from quiz nights.

Historic Interest
The original toll house dates from 1534, as evidenced by the stone lintel on the southern elevation Travellers would stop here to pay road tolls on their journey around Loch Leven. These tolls were only abolished in 1872. A classic photograph has appeared on social media of Helen Sharp, the landlady and toll keeper of 1896 standing proudly in front of the tavern.
