AUG 2024 - Response 24/00056/ECOU (Alleged unauthorised change of use from a public house to a barber shop.) says no action will be taken. It acknowledges a breach has taken place but no action will be taken as it "retains the premises within employment use. The proposed use is compatible with the character of the immediate vicinity and will not inhibit activities of the neighbouring units."
MAR 2024 - Planning have replied to say they investigating. No new planning apps to date.
FEB 2024 - Barbers shop now open. This has been reported to Edinburgh Planning, reference: 522747. Community council are also investigating.
JAN 2024 - It is being converted into a Turkish Barbers. name changed and chairs in place. No planning applications or listed building consent found.
SEP 2023 - Closed on the 22nd. Leasees retired.

Busy, small, single roomed, comfortable locals' bar in a building dating from 1886 located in the historic village centre. Banquette seating surrounds the room and a high shelf is adorned with sporting trophies. The pub has a friendly atmosphere and visitors are made welcome.
