"Failte gu Am Fuaran" or "welcome to the well". The well at the bottom of the driveway offered a welcome rest to those on foot before cars and the bar, hence the name when it was opened in 1976 by Andrew and Shona Wilson. Their children, Andrew and Catriona now run the bar with Catriona's husband, David Last. Although a simple menu, very keenly priced seafood is a must, the creel caught langoustines are gathered locally by a relative. The walls inside are adorned with all things nautical and pictures depicting life in the area in the past. A real Aladdin's cave!
