Historic Interest
The Ale House Register of 1561 recorded three ale houses in West Kirby. There locations are unknown but were probably in or close to the old village and St. Bridget's Church. Another ale house was recorded in P'va (Parva?) Kirby, possibly a distance from the old village centre.
