Previously the Cowes Ale House was located across the road. It closed due to the owner's ill health. Under different owner, The Ale House opened in October 2024 in what had been a restaurant. The landlords have already shown they can provide a good choice of real ale and ciders in premises set up for a sociable visit There is racking for 8 cask ales on gravity and normally 5 or 6 are on. A small establishment popular with the locals and visitors, the Ale House has comfortable seating by a picture window and a secluded space upstairs. Organises coach transport to beer festivals at other venues.
