You want to visit - You have this in

The Admiral Duncan dates from the late 18th century. The right half of the pub is an Indian restaurant called admiral Spice, the left half is a traditional, fairly basic pub with an "L" shaped bar, one part of which houses a dart board and pool table. Sport is shown on TV. Music is provided via a jukebox. The garden and car park are both large. Food is not served in the pub, but the restaurant is open from 5.30pm - 10pm seven days a week. There are three handpumps, but only one real ale is served and it will be either Landlord or Doom Bar.

Note that the phone no. is for the restaurant. Both the restaurant and the pub are in the same ownership.

It may close later than 10pm if sufficient custom.

Historic Interest

The pub is named after Viscount Adam Duncan, a notable naval commander of the 18th century. The Baschurch connection is that timbers for his flagship (HMS Venerable) were supposedly sourced from nearby woods.
