This Pub is Permanently Closed

An old pub dating back to circa 1860 and known as the Travellers Rest. In 1902 the new landlord was William Porter and the pub was known as Porter's Bar. William died in 1940 having passed on the license to his son William Dodds Porter. Later on it had other licensees but retained the name Porters Bar. It finally closed circa 2013 and is now the Blue Lagoon ship shop.
