Cafe bar and restaurant opened on April 30th in a new unit on the Forge Island development, opposite the Arc Cinema. Drinks major on cocktails and wines, though other alcoholic drinks are available. Coffees and teas and other soft drinks are also served. A varied food menu with steaks and seafood specialities, including gluton-free, vegan and children options. Serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. Vetro Lounge, pronounced vay-tro, the Italian word for glass, is a nod to Rotherham’s glassmaking heritage at sites like Catcliffe Glass Cone.

Historic Interest

Part of a major redevelopment, built on the historic Forge Island site between the River Don and the canal, once home to the Roterham Forge and Ironworks.
