Hops is a modern single roomed bar on Douglas main shopping street. The focus is on craft beers, with ten taps of ever changing beers. Additionally there is a good selection of varying canned beer products, that are unlikely to be found elsewhere on island, as well as an interesting selection of low alcohol beers for those that prefer them. Often there are unusual dark beers available (rare on the island) and higher strength beers, as well as sour beers, again rare on The Isle of Man.The outlet stocks a variety of World Whiskeys, along with being an increasingly rare cigar stockist. Furthermore, for cider fans, there are a range of real ciders stocked, one of the largest selections on the island. There is a beer and cider TV screen advertising the latest products, with full descriptions, and the owners have a good knowledge of both the whiskeys and beer products sold and are able to advise on choice if needed. Note at quieter times opening and closing times on a Thursday can vary.

During the closed periods, the outlet is available at agreed times to open by appointment for private groups, and a local mental health group meet in the outlet. There are occasional themed nights. In February '25 the outlet closed. It is scheduled to be reopened in a new format in due course, but as a bar.
