This Pub is Permanently Closed
The licence was refused in 1913 and the pub closed at the end of the year. The owners at the time of closure were Watkin & Aston, grocers. In 1963 the whole of that side of Market Street was demolished and a new row of shops built. The site of the pub is currently (2022) occupied bt the Bakehouse Tea Rooms.
