This Pub is Permanently Closed
A free house. In 1935 the licensee, Mary Wilkinson, said that the pub had been bought in 1919 by her husband and she had owned it since he died in 1924. It was purchased by Ralph Clifford Evans 1941. The pub is believed to have closed in the 1950s and was subsequently demolished for retail development. In 2022 the site was occupied by Scrivener Opticians & Hearing Care.
