This Pub is Permanently Closed
A Courage and Barclay house next door to the Hogarth Inn, this was originally named the Cock Inn but, in sympathy with the nearby BP oil refinery, it was renamed (probably around 1954) as a sort of pun on catalytic cracker, part of the plant used in the refinery. Closed and subsequently demolished and houses built on the site.
