This Pub is Permanently Closed

This pub was popular with the young and had three pool tables, a cash machine, several televisions, video juke box and DJs Friday and Saturday nights. The pool tables were to the left, with a raised seating area with some old local photos to the right. In the summer there was a bouncy castle in the garden for children. The pub was also a poular venue for watching televised football. The pub was formerly called the Evening Star. Unfortunately the pub was closed in September 2008 with proposals to use the site as part of a new supermarket development which did not take place.
