This Pub is Permanently Closed

A beerhouse licence was obtained for the property in 1834. The pub was on the canal towpath on the opposite side of the canal to Acton Trussell village and largely served the canal trade.. It closed in 1940 and is now a private house, White House. Details of the licensees and a modern photograph of the building can be found in John Connor's book "The Inns and Alehouses of Stafford.
