Deceptively large village local it goes back quite some way and note the very impressive huge half moon pub sign. Besides the decent sized public bar well used by local drinkers there is also a separate pool room, restaurant and big patio at the rear that is used for summer barbecues. Bus service 10/10A/10B stops on the main road above the old village. Bus services R3/R4 link the pub to Blaydon.
