Modern rowing club building with balcony, accessible from the bar, overlooking the river Tyne and bridge at Newburn, about seven miles west of Newcastle city centre. Originally founded in 1852 and is one of the oldest sporting clubs in the country. There is a large car park adjacent and the National cycle route 72 passes along the front of the building. There is a function space available for hire too. Coffee, and snacks available during the day, walkers particularly welcome.
