Popular Wetherspoon located just off the High Street which strives to serve a good range of real ales at all times. Aside from the usual two core beers, up to 6 guests can be served, which are often from local established breweries or local micros. Families are welcome, and there's a raised area to the right of the door set aside for families & diners. A number of booths can be found around the walls, and there's often quieter seating to be found at the back of the pub. The centre of the pub is a small courtyard which is used as a smoking area. Food service is usually very good, and the pub is both Cask Marque and LocAle accredited. Although the pub opens at 8am, alcohol cannot be served before 9am. National news is usually displayed on the TVs around the pub.
