Located on a busy corner opposite Sunderland Museum and Winter Gardens, this pub has a large L shaped room and bar. Dating from the 1980's it has had numerous names including Inn on the Park and Rosie Malones. Became Yates in 1999 and Barge & Barrel in 2024. There are three handpulls with usually two in use. Greene King IPA was one ale on at last visit in March 2024. Part of the Craft Union group of Stonegate pubs
