Formally Sleepers, Beggars Bridge reopened after major refurbishment in May 2016. The name is taken from old maps of the location. Inside there is roomy L shaped bar with 3 handpulls with two changing ales. The house beer , Beggars Bridge Blonde, is a Cullercoats Brewery badged ale. There is also outside seating with a garden From here there is a function room with its own bar, stage (and fish tank). Live music features from Thursday - Sunday nights and meals are available The pub is handy for East Boldon Metro Station which is literally next to it.
