Located in Cleadon Village not far from the village duck pond, the Cottage Tavern is a busy and popular local. It has an open plan layout and is traditionally decorated. There are 2 handpulls ; Black Sheep Bitter, and Ossett at last visit (Nov 23). There is a weekly quiz held on Monday evening. and occasional live music . Regular buses to South Shields, Sunderland and Boldon stop nearby. There is a large car park on the other side of the main road.
