This Pub is Permanently Closed

Small and attractive bar situated in what was the yard of the Mellersh & Neale brewery. Open in the late 1970s, it closed in the late 1980s when the whole area was redeveloped for a supermarket. The beer was good enough for the bar to gain a place in the Good Beer Guide in 1981 and 1984. The Mellersh & Neale brewery itself was demolished in 1988.
