This Pub is Permanently Closed

An old and attractive Friary Meux pub, it was situated next to the also demolished Godstone bus garage. In the 1970s it was a basic two bar pub, but sold Ind Coope bitter direct from casks behind the bar. Around 1990 it was sold to the free trade and was renamed the Old Surrey, but was pulled down for housing in 1995.
