This is the oldest pub in Godstone and dates from 1393, although it has been much modified over the years. As a coaching inn, this was where the travellers stayed, with the grooms and coachmen staying at the long gone Rose & Crown. The now blocked tunnels underneath the Bell, used to connect it to the White Hart up the road. Today the pub classifies itself as a gastro-pub, with most of the pub and the conservatory being restaurant areas laid for diners. There is a separate children's menu and food is served throughout opening hours. The drinkers area is as you come in from the car park and dogs are permitted in this area if kept on a lead. There are two handpumps. One serves a rotating national such as Sharps Doom Bar, St Austell Tribute or Fullers London Pride. The other is used for local beers, such as Hogs Back TEA and Dark Star Hophead. The dining areas are on different levels and there is a large terrace outside for drinking and eating. The Godstone Room is a private function room available if required.
This Pub serves 2 changing beers and 0 regular beers.
