The Elephant and Castle is one of the oldest pubs in Totton, and has an odd-looking single-storey wing to the front, with pitched and flat roof. The pub has two rooms, both smartly decorated: the low-ceilinged public bar has a games area at the rear, with a pool table and dartboard; the lounge is comfortable and has its own little bar. Outside, beyond the lounge, is a covered area for drinkers and smokers. There is live music at weekends.

October 2023 report: The bar still has two handpumps but no cask ale at the time. We have yet to ascertain if this is a permanent non-availability.
